Honoro Vera Garnacha 2016

The grapes come from vineyards, 30-40 years old, 700-900 metres above sea level, with really low yields. The vineyards are planted in mainly decomposed slate and gravely clay soils, all this creates a survival of the fittest and leaves you with great fruit intensity. The wine has a soft luscious tannin structure  that supports the beautiful fruit weight plums, currants and has a hint of cherry. Lovely and rich easy drinking.

Veronique Foundation Shiraz 2015

The 10th vintage of this is an absolute ripper. This husband and wife duo are making fantastic wine, that really over delivers. Using traditional winemaking styles of basket pressing into barrel, leaving behind a vibrant fruit extraction of beautiful primary red fruits. Lovely and rich, yet still the fruit really lifts out of the glass while being encompassed by the hints of vanilla from use of oak. One of staff favourites year in, year out!

Penny’s Hill Edward Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Lovely McLaren Vale Cabernet, Picking up 2 Golds and a Silver @ International wine shows, this wine has a complex nose with varietal definition that offers an abundance of dark fruits intermingled with cedar, oak spice, dried herb and subtle earthiness. The palate shows seamless style and substance with vibrancy, generosity and varietal Cabernet Sauvignon flavour. The oak adds layers and supports the fruit whilst the fine long tannins provide structure and exceptional fruit length.

Journeys End The Embarkment Shiraz 2009

Lush and succulent with a velvety textural feel this Shiraz delivers fantastic value given its bottle age. Dark red colour with a deep very dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackberry merge into some subtle new leather, earth and spicy vanillin cedar scents. Rich and fleshy with excellent concentration and a plush satin like textural feel the palate boasts mouth filling flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plums over spicy vanillin cedar, a hint of emerging earthy leather and pepper. Velvety tannins. Abundant power with a long savoury aftertaste of liquorice, dark plum, blackberries, earthy vanillin cedar and pepper. We love aged reds at this price!!

Castelli Shiraz Malbec 2015

This wine combines the richness and opulence of Great Southern Shiraz with the muscularity and structure of Malbec. The aromatics are dominated by spicy dark fruits, such as mulberries and satsuma plums with sprinkles of red berries overlaid. These flavours continue

onto the medium bodied palate, where the structure of the Malbec comes to the fore – ripe, structured tannins of good weight and length. This is a fruit driven style designed for early to medium term drinking with the oak playing a supporting role; however the structure will allow the wine to be confidently cellared over the next 10 years

Deep Cove Wild Earth Pinot Noir 2011

From the winery that produced the best red wine in the world according to the international wine challenge in London, this is another fantastic expression of Central Otagan Pinot Noir. Soft tannin, balanced acidity and persistence through the finish. Rich fruit violets and cherries balance with leather and spice for a sophisticated blend of pleasure, purity and passion
